Over the past 25 years — Dallas Bowman, has been instrumental in the start-up, launch and/or the expansion of literally hundreds of online companies and business ventures.
A creative visionary with an extensive background in Advertising & Publishing, in 1997, Dallas Bowman began taking print news publications and magazines online.
Our user-groups of hacks pioneered the scripts for sites like Yahoo!, Ebay, and was the foundation for many of what later became the shopping portals, classified systems, the Facebooks and web portals that we have now.
It was a great time of Imagin-erring and Invention-eering! When someone in the group had an idea — we had a group of about 300 hacks that would figure it out together to make it happen.
By the time the early 2000 Dot-Com bubble blew up – the Dallas Bowman Media Group had already built, designed & developed over 850 commercial websites. We had written several proprietary shopping cart and classified software to be used on the web. We pioneered the ability to upload and transmit video to bring the web alive.
As the web continued to expand — many of us began to break off into specialty groups providing specialty websites and apps for large corporations and businesses and providing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) — SEP (Search Engine Positioning) SEM (Search Engine Marketing) and SMM (Social Media Marketing) for companies that wanted to rank #1 in the search directories.
Since we had pioneered much of the software that was driving the spiders, bots, robots & search engines — we knew the how & why — that search engines worked — and how to get to the top and stay there — within hours of publishing our client’s sites — without getting them blacklisted and removed from the search engines & search directories.
Many of the amateur methods that self-proclaimed “Search Engine Optimization Specialist” trying to sell their services to website owners — can OFTEN get your website blacklisted and removed from ALL the search engines! Be careful with who you’re dealing with. Make sure they have solid references from their paying customers. Make sure they are credible, that their methods are credible and that they do not try using the old Black Hat Tricks — that will get your site banned!
A lot of things have changed since the Pioneering days. However, the principles have pretty much remained the same. We deal with mathematics, engineering, electronics, and human behavior — and these are all very predictable! An action causes a response. A planned series of actions produces a specific result, a like, a click, or a purchase.
What has changed is: our in-depth understanding of why people do what they do on the Internet and how to influence their choices and actions. We know now, what makes them buyers, customers & clients. We also know what keeps them from clicking, liking or buying. And, we’ve been able to test, try and do — literally millions of experiments — on the web, to perfect our understanding of how and what will cause a person to click or not click.
The Principles do not change. What does change is: Our understanding of the Principles. We continue to learn, research and grow in our understanding.
Our company focus now is web video, Internet TV and we still operate some high-traffic publication, advertising & classified sites.
The majority of our website design & development operation for clients is now handled by our subsidiary,USA Web Service.
Yes. Dallas Bowman, still produces and develops websites and Internet Broadcast sites, video productions and consulting. And, we still work with specialty groups all over the world that specialize in different web technologies.
